Rally For The Resistance, Beach Clean Up & Visual Action

  • Pere Marquette Park 3510 Channel Dr Muskegon, MI, 49441 United States (map)

Sierra Club Michigan Chapter is hosting a Rally for Resistance

When: May 23, 2025 at 7 pm

Where: Pere Marquette Park (beach area between Kruse Park and the water filtration plant)

Make a visual impact! Join us to arrange people on the beach to create the word “RESIST.” A drone will photograph the finished formation.

We resist. This rally supports the resistance to Musk and Trump’s dismantling of the federal government and social support systems. Instead, we will build a future with a strong Muskegon community and expand democracy.

This will be a kid-friendly event and a beach cleanup. Please bring a bag to collect garbage. Bring your bags of trash home so we don’t overfill the beach trash cans. Volunteers are also planning fun activities as we get everyone in place for the photo, such as folding origami fish, blowing bubbles, flying kites, and more!

Parking: The lot closest to the beach requires a paid parking pass. Carpooling is encouraged, and a shuttle is being arranged (stay tuned for details).

Contact Tamara Horne with any questions, tamara.horne@sierraclub.org.
