What Saugatuck Douglas Area Indivisible Have Done and Are Going To Do
August 11, 2025

Building community. Building fabric in our community brings together not only like-minded people but individuals who may have different thoughts. This very act counteracts what is happening through the White House today.

Focus on 2026 and beyond Elections. Impact potential voters by the following:

  1. Continue with a well-developed group of postcard writers who are presently helping in swing states and will be prepared and trained for the next National and local elections. Written over 5,200 post cards to date.

  2. Educate about Local and national candidates and ballot initiative  such as Rank Choice Voting.

  3. Continue to develop our phone crew who will call existing members and individuals to become members so that they can hone their skills and prepare to get the vote out and back candidates who support our specific initiatives.

  4. Build a small select group of canvases to go beyond the phone crew and be on the streets talking to people at election time.

Focus on our threatened Immigrant community and others. Provide training for “ICE Rapid Response" by partnering with individuals threatened by the militarization of our country through massive funding of ICE.

Provide timely activist information.  Be a place where people can go to find out the many events that are going on through SDAI and other organizations defending democracy. Be that place where individuals can get direction, meet with others, and together fight for democracy.

We commit that all of the above will be done professionally with the best practices available to us.

We hope you will decide to make a donation that will help fund these and other initiatives.

Thanks MG
