Postcards to Swing States

So far this year, we have distributed and written more than 5,375 postcards to voters in swing states! In addition to get-out-the vote postcards, we are currently sending cards with real news headlines that combat disinformation and help voters see how harmful the Trump agenda is.

Writing postcards is easy, it’s effective, and it’s a good way to calm your anxiety about all the chaos and corruption in politics. It’s also a meaningful and pleasant thing to do while sitting around a table with neighbors and friends. We write postcards together at Blue Star Barns Coffee every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from noon to 2, and we’ll continue this schedule for as long as it works out well for us and the owners, Joe and Amy. Please buy a cup of coffee or snack while you are there—they have delicious blueberry and raspberry muffins, and cheddar-herb and sourdough bagels with cream cheese, which make a fine lunch! They are happy to let us use one side of their shop, or you can pick up postcard kits to take home. These kits, which include 25 addresses and postcards and an instruction sheet with a selection of scripted messages, will also be available at all of our general meetings, and at various protests.

We appreciate it if people buy their own stamps, but we don’t want the cost to prevent anyone from writing postcards, and we do have stamps available to anyone who asks for them. Or you can return your finished but unstamped postcards to me (Lisa) at Blue Star Barns Coffee during the dates and time mentioned above, and I will stamp and mail them.
