Support the Trek!
Not Just a Climb, A Call to Action
Ten climbers. Each trekking up and down the wooden stairs of Mt. Baldhead five times. That’s over 3,000 steps per climber. All in one day. All for a good cause.
These stamina-filled climbers are challenging themselves to raise funds for Saugatuck Douglas Area Indivisibles because democracy needs more than hope—it needs action.
Sponsor a climber and come out to cheer them on Sunday, August 30, 10 a.m., at the majestic Mt. Baldhead sand dune, 769 Park Street, in Saugatuck.
Every step of the climb supports:
November get-out-the-vote initiatives
Civic education and awareness programs
Volunteer training for local Active Response to ICE and Family Support programs
Support for families in our community adversely affected by ICE operations—providing financial aid for basics like rent, utilities, food, transportation, and children’s essentials.
You can take action now by sponsoring one of our climbers. Make a donation per round. For example, support one climber at:
$5 per round = $25
$10 per round = $50
$20 per round = $100
$30 per round = $150
Or, support all 10 climbers for $500 because you really believe in the cause.
Above all, please give what you can. Each pledge will inspire our climbers!
Your donation will fund SDAI’s work on the ground — organizing, educating and advocating locally to defend democracy in our community, our state, and our nation.
Make sure to designate Mt. Baldhead Climb on the ActBlue page.
