Mutual Aid Drive: Entire duration of event
One June 14th, we rally to confront the crises fueled by the Trump regime: defending marginalized communities, exposing corruption, and demanding real change. Our protest features powerful speeches and demonstrations, united in resistance and solidarity.
Following the protest, we'll host a sharp, satirical carnival, not to celebrate Trump, but to mock and expose his absurdity. Using humor, parody, and bold satire, we aim to weaken his fragile grip on power and turn his birthday into a spectacle of resistance.
Why satire matters:
Art and humor are vital tools of resistance for breaking censorship, exposing hypocrisy, and inspiring collective action. Our carnival will feature satirical games, art installations highlighting injustices, and performances like drag shows and comedy, all aimed at undermining the regime's legitimacy.
Mutual aid drive:
Donate shelf-stable food, hygiene supplies, sexual health supplies, gender-affirming items, first aid supplies, and clothing to empower neighborhoods and promote collective sustainability. Donations will be going to the Detroit Resistance Book Club, General Strike US Michigan - Michigan, Tenant Resource Center, Lansing Syringe Access, Women's Center of Greater Lansing, and Salus Center.
Why we must act:
To defend immigrant rights, fight for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC justice, protect reproductive rights, defend disabled people's rights, defend education/healthcare/science/law/press institutions, advocate for Palestinians and Ukrainians, protect the environment, and challenge systemic injustices. We need to build broad coalitions for a more equitable future.
