Why Postcards Matter

Writing postcards is one of the most effective ways to get out the vote and influence elections—second only to door-knocking, and better than both phoning and texting.

Our daytime writing group will continue to meet on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month, 12 - 2 p.m., at Blue Star Barns Coffee through October.   

We invite you to write with us, or pick up a packet or two of postcards to write on your own schedule. 

Last year, SDAI sent out 10,175 postcards between March and October. Since November, we’ve written an additional 10,000 cards, and plan to reach 14,000 or more.

Postcards are donated by our sponsoring organization, Progressive Turnout Project, but with postcard stamps at 61 cents, the mailing costs add up quickly.

You can now make a postage donation online to support the project. Click here and when prompted in the final check-out steps choose the giving option: “Get Out the Vote Stamps.”
