The Michigan Democratic Party is holding their Spring Convention on April 19th, 2026 in Detroit. At this convention, party members will vote in a primary-style endorsement vote for crucial roles, including: Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Board of Education, University of Michigan Board of Regents, Wayne State University Board of Governors, Michigan State University Board of Trustees, State Supreme Court and more.
You MUST be a MDP member at least 30 days prior to the convention to be able to vote in these critical races.
We truly have people power and we have seen our voices heard and the significant impact we made during the August 2024 MDP convention. We are now more organized and louder, and we will have a bigger impact during the April convention.
It is integral for our communities, especially marginalized communities, to be present and involved in these processes so our values are reflected in the leadership of the Democratic Party, and so the Michigan public has better candidates that will work to represent and serve all of us come the November' 2026 General Election.
